slider still in beta. >>> welcome back. i'm anderson cooper live in boston. krystle campbell's funeral has just finished in medford, massachusetts. we're seeing her being brought out of the church. her casket carried out of st. joseph's church. she was 29 years old, a restaurant manager just weeks shy of her 30th birthday. tonight, a memorial will be held also for the 23-year-old chinese graduate student lu lingzi. she was one class away from graduating with a masters from boston university. much more coverage ahead from boston, but i do want to bring us up-to-date on what's been happening in west, texas. take a look. that explosion that devastated parts of west, texas, took the lives of so many first responders. in the city of west they're trying to cope with the death and destruction from the fertilizer plant explosion last week. 14 people were killed including a number of volunteer firefighters and ems personnel. martin savidge joins us now in west, texas. martin, what's the latest? do they know at this point what caused that explosion? >> they're working to find that out, anderson

week. 8-year-old martin richard, 29-year-old krystle campbell, lu lingze, age 23. 58 remain in the hospital, three in critical condition. many, of course, lost their limbs. last night the m.i.t. officer, sean collier, just 26 years old, he was killed. 15 other boston and massachusetts policemen who were injured in last night's gun battle. a deadly, deadly, awful toll. tonight the satisfaction for the people in that area and for boston and for america, the bomber in custody and alive at the moment. we don't know the extent of his injuries. we'll try to find out more. fran townsend, i believe you're with us now. national security correspondent for cnn. in terms of the fact that this has happened within four days, fran, this has to be considered a big success for the fbi. >> reporter: absolutely. it's a tremendous success. and i think what you heard at that press conference is them saying it was actually -- it's a team success. you really -- you needed the watertown police and the boston police, no one agency could have done it on their own. but the fbi gets tremendous credit.
are just learning her identity. her name is krystle campbell, a graduate of medford high school, graduated back in 2001. her employer sent out a facebook message. no words can describe how much she meant to all of us. she was an incredible woman, always full of energy and hard at work, but never too tired to share her love and a smile with everyone. krystle campbell lost her life. we're going to talk to a doctor who was on the scene, running in the race, and then turned right around to try to help those in need. i want to bring you up to date with the latest on the investigation. for that, to brooke. brooke? >> in terms of the investigation, u.s. officials are saying that there is no reporting, any connection with foreign connection, reaction from al qaeda thus far. here is what we do know. because different sources are telling cnn these bombs appear to have been placed in metal pressure cookers that were then hidden in backpacks. in terms of the saudi man we heard about, whose apartment has been searched, apparently sources telling cnn that that has no connection to the blast, but joe joh
honored bombing victim krystle campbell, who was killed just weeks before her 30th birthday. he honored lu lingzi, recently moved to boston for graduate school to study math and statistics. she went with two new friends to see the boston marathon and was killed. and, of course, the president honored 8-year-old martin richard, the youngest victim. the president spoke of martin's wish written on a blue poster board, "no more hurting people. peace." >> people here in boston pause today behind the scenes the search for the person or people, because we don't know at this point how many people were involved. that search continues. a law enforcement source telling cnn that hundreds of investigators are working around the clock trying to identify at this point two men who have been captured in surveillance videos moments before the blast. pictures of these men also, and apparently they were hovering near the finish line. d deb, how much do you know about these men? you said they were looking at them as people to talk to, but now they are more than that. >> well, you know, it's so interesting, beca

-old martin richard, certainly we want to remember him. krystle campbell, 29 years old. 23-year-old lingzi lu, the graduate student at boston university from china. and the m.i.t. police officer, sean collier, 26 years old. and more than 250 other people were injured as a result of those bombs. ashley banfield is here. we're getting some new information, ashleigh. i know you're getting why ur sources. what are you hearing what's going on? >> one of the more fascinating developments i learned today, this comes straight from the top, from the district attorney of suffolk county that represents boston, has told me in the next couple of days, wolf, they're likely going to be moving the suspect and actually taking him from the beth israel deaconess hospital. there is a possibility he will be taken to another hospital. i'm told that there has been a lot of consternation because many of the victims who are being treated there, at one point i believe there were about 11 at the beth israel. many of the family members of those who were injured are understandably quite upset they're at the same facility
